A man has been charged with felony neglect child abuse after his four-year-old daughter died after being left in a hot car.
Shyheim Deion Moore, 30, was arrested on Sept. 25 and charged with felony child abuse, Assistant Chief Rick Alston of the Greensboro Police Department said during a press conference on Monday.
"Our investigation shows that her father left her unattended in a hot car," Alston said.
The child was brought to the hospital on Sept. 24 and died there that night, Alston said.
Police said they believe Moore left the child in the car accidentally.
"It's still under investigation, but the preliminary investigation is showing us that this was accidental and not intentional," Alston said.
