A court has heard how a man brutally stabbed a dog with a knife in a "horrific" attack that was "sparked" by the animal biting him on his nose. ‌

The poor pooch was so badly injured dog it had to be put down by a vet after the incident and police later found a large amount of blood and "blood-shaped paw prints" in the garden from the "vicious, cruel and heartless" stabbing, Hull Crown Court heard. ‌

Brandon Logan, 22, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to an animal on May 11.
