LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On this day in Michigan history, September 30, 1993, Boblo Island Amusement Park closed after 85 years.

Generations of Michiganders remember taking the Boblo boat down the Detroit River for a day of rides and fun.

Its closing marked the end of a treasured summertime tradition.
