Ronnie O'Sullivan would welcome a return to competitive snooker for Stephen Lee following his 12-year ban from the sport.

Lee, a former world No.5, was found guilty of seven match-fixing charges in 2013 and punished with a lengthy suspension.

His ban came to an end in October last year, but he has yet to make a professional comeback to the sport.

The disgraced star has, however, featured in an exhibition match in Thailand earlier this year in August.

It may indicate that a return is possible, but Lee's last competitive match of snooker came in 2012 before his ban.
