Maharashtra reels under heavy rainfall as red and orange alerts are issued for multiple districts. Floodwaters have engulfed villages across Marathwada, leaving families homeless and farmers in distress. In Dharashiv, a youth was swept away along with his bike on the flooded Wagholi bridge but was rescued by brave villagers using a rope. Similarly, in Latur, a farmer clung to a tree after being carried 600 feet downstream. In Sambhaji Nagar, over 3 lakh cusecs were released from the Jayakwadi dam, forcing people and livestock to seek roadside shelter. In Jalna, more than 8,000 residents were evacuated to safety. Relief teams and locals are providing food and essentials.
