(Bismarck, ND) — State legislators will soon determine how to allocate federal funding for rural healthcare provided by the Big, Beautiful Bill. The bill provides 50-billion-dollars to areas nationwide over the next five years as part of the Rural Health Transformation Program. North Dakota is set to receive at least 100-million-dollars annually, plus additional funds for various criteria. State Senate Majority Leader David Hogue says a legislative committee will be needed to provide some input before the money can be allocated throughout North Dakota. All states must apply for the funding by November 5th to be eligible.
