An Upstate college was named the best in the Palmetto State, climbing up three spots from last year.

Clemson University students will have something to celebrate, knowing their college campus is tied for spot No. 36 among all public schools in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2026 rankings. It also tied for No. 75 in the national universities ranking.

Clemson University ranks as the best national and public university in South Carolina, according to the news release.
