SOUTHPORT, N.C. -- A Southport, North Carolina, family confirmed the identity of one victim in the mass shooting that happened over the weekend.

According to ABC affiliate WWAY , Lennie Rogers said his wife Joy Rogers, 64, died in the shooting Saturday night. The couple moved to the coast about a year ago from California. Both were at the American Fish Company when shots were fired.

In a statement obtained by WWAY, the Rogers family said:

"Joy was a devoted wife to her husband and a loving mother of three. Born and raised in California, she and her family moved to Southport just a year ago to enjoy their retirement.
