SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A man is dead after being found stabbed on Main Street Monday night in Springfield, police report.

Officers were called to the scene around 10:35 p.m.

This was on the 2800 block of Main St.

“The victim was transported to Baystate where he succumbed to his injuries,” explained Ryan Walsh, representative of the Springfield Police Department.

At this time, the Hampden District Attorney’s Office Murder Unit is investigating along with the Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit.
