An OPP officer drove through a stop sign at a Southwestern Ontario intersection and struck a school bus, causing it to roll three times into a field and killing the drivers of both vehicles, according to legal documents.

The documents filed as part of a settlement between the family of the deceased bus driver, David James Stewart, and the Ontario Provincial Police shed new light on the crash on May 29, 2023, at Oxford Road 33 and Highway 59, northwest of Woodstock.
