PM Modi Visits Durga Puja Pandal, Traffic Advisory Issued

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a Durga Puja pandal in Chittaranjan Park, Delhi, on Ashtami, where he offered prayers at the Karli Bari temple. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta accompanied him during this significant visit. To manage the expected crowd and ensure security, the Greater Kailash-II Welfare Association advised residents to avoid certain internal roads in the area from 3 PM to midnight.

In light of the Prime Minister's presence, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory, implementing restrictions on several roads, including the Outer Ring Road between Panchsheel and Greater Kailash, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, JB Tito Marg, Inder Mohan Bhardwaj Marg, and the CR Park main road. No vehicular movement will be allowed on Gurudwara Road, Bipin Chandra Pal Marg, and the internal roads of CR Park and Greater Kailash-II during the restricted hours.

Commuters are encouraged to use public transport and avoid the affected routes to reduce congestion. Suggested alternate routes include MG Road, Aurobindo Marg, Mathura Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Road, and Mehrauli-Badarpur Road. Traffic personnel will be deployed at key intersections to assist motorists.

BJP strategists view the Prime Minister's visit as a strategic move to connect with Bengali voters ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. The party aims to engage with migrant Bengalis across the country, emphasizing that Durga Puja is a national celebration. The BJP has planned various cultural programs and events in cities with significant Bengali populations, showcasing Bengal's cultural heritage while promoting the party's vision for a developed Bengal.

As the festivities continue, the BJP is actively reaching out to the Bengali community, conducting social gatherings and discussions to foster engagement and dialogue. This approach aligns with the party's broader strategy to connect emotionally and culturally with voters ahead of the elections.
