Rome’s MIA Market — the acronym stands for the Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo or International Audiovisual Market — is set to kick off its 11th edition on Oct. 6. This year’s market will feature more than 100 projects ready to be unveiled to potential partners and a roster of timely panels as hundreds of top execs are expected in the Eternal City.
The unique pre-Mipcom boutique event — dedicated to international TV series and formats, animation, feature films and documentaries in various stages of the production cycle all seeking a piece of financing (often in the form of a co-production partner) — is headed by Gaia Tridente , who is now in her fourth year at the helm.
