GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A man has been arrested after an armed robbery and shooting in Greene County.

19-year-old Jeremiah Clarke was arrested by Greene County deputies yesterday.

Reports from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office say that deputies were investigating an attempted murder around 8 p.m. Friday on Jason Arba Road.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office told WITN early Saturday morning that they were actively investigating a shooting at that location.

Warrants say Clarke threatened a person with a gun and took nearly $500 in cash from them.

Clarke was charged with attempted first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He is being held without bond.
