A communications firm which is planning to cut hundreds of jobs has been urged to give an update on the future of its Salford headquarters.
Last week it was revealed that Platform X Communications (PXC), part of the TalkTalk Group, had put 350 roles at ris k in a redundancy consultation, following a 'major restructuring' of the business.
PXC is the wholesale arm of the group, providing services and broadband to other telecoms providers. It has people based in the UK and North Macedonia, and the jobs at risk are spread through those locations.
The plans will see it create around 70 new jobs as part of the change, with a net loss of 280 positions.
