A driver involved in a fatal Tuesday morning crash involving a motorcycle in Lemoyne showed signs of impairment, police said.
West Shore Regional police said the driver was taken away in handcuffs, per department protocol, after the crash around 7:30 a.m. at South Third and Clark streets.
Police Chief Anthony Minium told reporters a passenger vehicle crashed into a motorcycle, which was pushed into a third vehicle.
Minium said the three vehicles were traveling in the same direction, away from New Cumberland. He declined to comment on the cause of the crash, citing the ongoing investigation.
The striking vehicle caught fire after impact and became engulfed, Minium said. He said the vehicle’s driver was injured and his airbags deployed.
