ST PAUL, Minn. — Let the drama and hand-wringing cease.

After an off-season of "will he or won't he" and reports he turned down a record deal in recent days, superstar winger Kirill Kaprizov has inked an NHL-record 8-year, $136 million deal to stay with the Minnesota Wild.

The team announced the max extension in a press release Tuesday. The contract begins in 2026-27, and will average $17 million per season. It runs through the 2033-34 season.
