The Hulu comedy series “Mid-Century Modern” has been canceled after one season.

Often described as a modern day “Golden Girls,” the sitcom followed three middle-aged gay friends — Bunny Schneiderman (Nathan Lane), Jerry Frank (Matt Bomer), and Arthur Broussard (Nathan Lee Graham) — who move in with Bunny’s mother, Sybil (Linda Lavin), after the unexpected death of their friend George.

Series creator Max Mutchnick announced the cancelation via Instagram on Monday, Sept. 29.

“Ten great episodes … Not enough,” he captioned a photo of the cast. “But we loved making every single one of them. We’re gonna miss our very special show. Thanks to everyone who watched.”
