University of Nevada, Reno President Brian Sandoval sent a strong campus message Tuesday morning after being accused by the Department of Justice of breaking the law for helping undocumented students.
UNR follows the federal and state law and the U.S. Constitution, Sandoval said after accusations that the college of violating federal law by providing public resources to undocumented students.
The letter sent Sept. 26 from Harmeet K. Dhillon, assistant U.S. attorney general for civil rights, to the Department of Education said UNR was providing help to "illegal aliens" through its UndocuPac Program.
