Madison-Ridgeland Academy first graders turned compassion into action this week, selecting a local animal shelter as their class service project and delivering a car packed full of donated supplies.
Teachers and parents helped organize the effort, which drew contributions from dozens of families. Shelter staff said the donation included much-needed items to support daily care—everything from food and treats to cleaning supplies and blankets.
“We couldn’t be more grateful,” a shelter representative said. “Seeing an entire car overflowing with love—and supplies—had us giggling at the madness. These students and their families made a real difference for animals who need it most.”
