In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Pedro's Cookie Jar, a local food stand and staple of the Madison Farmers Market, hosted a free presentation on Sept. 25 giving residents an opportunity to try their hands at hispanic cuisine.
Under the guidance of Anahi Perez, Isamar Cortes and Flora Cristobal, residents were able to test their skills in making homemade tamales, corn tortillas and fresh salsa. The event was part demonstration, part taste-test, with residents like Diane Bruns and Floyd Demaray walking away with both a full belly and a new experience. ×
