Hyderabad, September 30: Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said Telangana was preparing for its highest-ever paddy procurement this kharif season and appealed to the Union Government to urgently revise procurement targets, relax delivery norms, and provide additional storage and transport facilities.

“We are expecting to procure about 80 lakh metric tonnes of paddy in this kharif season, which will be the highest ever in the history of Telangana or any single state in the country.
