Lauren Greeny added another piece of history to Montana State’s young season on Monday, carding the second-lowest round in program history while breaking the Finkbine Golf Course record for low round in a women’s tournament on day one of the Diane Thomason Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.

Greeny opened the day with an 8-under 64 in the first round to shatter the course record, sinking nine birdies and just one bogey to set the tone for a strong day one for the Bobcats. Through 36 holes of play, Greeny holds the individual lead at 5-under 139 while the Cats are in first place as a team at 17-over 593, posting rounds of 293 and 300.
