A stroke survivor currently undergoing rehabilitation has climbed the iconic Wallace Monument stairs — a feat that symbolises his remarkable journey of recovery and resilience. ‌

Jake MacDonald has been a dedicated participant in Active Stirling’s Active Living For Life programme since July 2024, a referral-based initiative designed to support individuals living with a wide range of health conditions or inactive lifestyles. ‌

Referred through his NHS rehabilitation team, Jake has received tailored support, professional guidance and access to specialised fitness classes aimed at improving his strength, balance, and overall wellbeing. ‌
