MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Montgomery County police are asking neighbors and drivers to avoid Bradley Boulevard after a garbage truck overturned, knocking down power lines on Tuesday.

Pete Piringer, with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said units responded to the 6600 block of Bradley Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. for a crash. He said the truck ran off the road and crashed into a tree before rolling over.

The crash left wires down and debris across the road.

Piringer said medics took the truck driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Pepco outage map, about 25 customers have lost power in the area.
