Since “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 kicked off, Hilaria Baldwin ’s Instagram feed has been inundated with photos and videos of her and partner Gleb Savchenko practicing their moves. But behind the scenes of the celebrity ballroom competition, real life is still going on. On Saturday, the mom of seven put the dance content on pause to share some sad family news. Her family’s dog Dama had died.

"Rest in peace, sweet Dama," began the caption in a joint Instagram post with husband Alec Baldwin . "You brought so much joy to our lives...you were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly. Your life was long and happy. I know you are running through fields and eating all the cookies you want. We are sad but grateful that we had you in our lives," read the post.
