ELGIN, Iowa (KCRG) - Two women are facing charges for allegedly breaking into a home in Elgin and assaulting two people inside, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a press release, Fayette County deputies responded at 11:45 p.m. Monday to a home in Elgin for a report of an assault.
Investigators say 19-year-old Gabrielle Becker of Cedar Falls and 19-year-old Emina Alagic of Waterloo broke into the home and assaulted two people inside.
A short time after the break, the suspect’s vehicle was located and stopped in West Union. During a search of the vehicle, invesitgators found the victim’s stolen property.
Becker and Alagic were both arrested and booked in the Fayette County Jail.
