Delaware State University was evacuated and all classes were canceled following a bomb threat on Tuesday, the university announced.
The school, located in Dover, Delaware, received the threat shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30. All academic buildings were evacuated and all classes were canceled for Tuesday as a precaution. All employees at the university were sent home except for essential personnel.

Delaware State University police as well as state and federal law enforcement are investigating the threat.
The threat occurred around the same time the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, was evacuated due to police activity. Officials have not yet revealed if the two incidents are conne
