The legal battle surrounding the immigration case of Tufts graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk is back in federal court on Tuesday.

Ozturk gained national attention when she was pulled off the streets of Somerville, Massachusetts, by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in March.

The State Department revoked her student visa. Her supporters say the move came because she co-wrote an op-ed in the Tufts student newspaper criticizing Israel and in sympathy of Palestinians.

Ozturk spent more than six weeks in ICE detention in Louisiana. Masked agents in plain clothes surrounded her outside her home in Somerville, detaining her in an incident captured on video on March 25 .
