Tillsonburg town council has chosen an option regarding the salvaged elements of the Kinsmen Bridge as the Kinsmen Bridge Replacement and Bridge Street Re-Imagining Harmonization continues,

Rather than cutting away the bridge structure at heights, the project’s demolition subcontractor lowered complete towers to the ground where cutting could proceed below, while also pulling the bridge apart from above. As a result, a substantial section of the bridge remains intact.

With that in mind, council elected to retain the salvaged elements for installation as a monument adjacent to the Participark Trail or the Veteran’s Memorial Walkway west of Rolph Street.
