On Monday, Electronic Arts, the company that owns The Sims , Madden NFL , and EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA ), announced in a press release that it would be going private in a $55 billion deal. The group buying EA is made up of private-equity firms Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia’s Public Interest Fund, and Kushner’s Affinity Partners.
