CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A bicyclist was hit and killed by a car in northeast Charlotte early Sunday morning, according to police .
Records showed 44-year-old Kesha Jackson was charged with driving while license revoked, failure to register, and no liability insurance.
Paul Rucker, 59, was identified as the person who died in the collision.
What happened
The crash reportedly occurred around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, along East W.T. Harris Boulevard near Old Concord Road.
When officers arrived, they found Rucker unresponsive, a damaged bicycle, a Ford Focus with front-end damage, Jackson, and a passenger in the roadway.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Rucker was riding his bike westbound in the middle of the street when he was struck from behind by Jackson.
Paramedics pr
