CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville community is grieving the loss of 16-year-old Drace Johnson, a Circleville High School junior and member of the wrestling team, who passed away from injuries sustained in a car crash over the weekend.

On Monday evening, hundreds of students, staff, and community members gathered at the Circleville City Schools campus for a vigil to honor Johnson’s life. Friends and classmates prayed, shared memories, and offered support to one another in the wake of the tragedy.

Circleville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Halley released a statement describing the loss as “immeasurable sorrow,” highlighting Johnson’s role not only as a student but as a beloved part of the Tiger community.
