Police are searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred late Sunday night in the 100 block of West Cactus Street in Somerton. The suspect has been described as armed and dangerous.

According to the Somerton Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 10:54 p.m. on Sept. 28. A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Ignacio Bedoy, 40, of Somerton, confronted his estranged wife and a 31-year-old man before opening fire. The male victim died from his injuries at the scene.

Police said Bedoy then fired indiscriminately into a nearby apartment that was occupied by multiple adults and children. No additional injuries were reported.
