The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida dropped its lawsuit against major insulin manufacturers and the Big Three pharmacy benefit managers Sept. 26, according to court filings. The tribe had accused a host of defendants of fraudulent conduct, focusing on deceptive pricing practices to inflate the cost of diabetes medication. The tribe claimed the PBMs and manufacturers were violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

The lawsuit had also alleged the defendants received “exorbitant secret manufacturer payments based on the manufacturer defendants’ list prices.” None of the defendants responded to the complaint in court or moved for summary judgment.
