DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) - MercyOne President and CEO Robert Ritz has announced that he will be retiring at the beginning of 2026.

According to a release , Ritz is retiring after 12 years with the company. He joined MercyOne as president of what was Mercy Des Moines Hospital in 2013. In 2017, he was appointed CEO of Mercy Health Network, which was later branded MercyOne, co-owned by CommonSpirit Health and Trinity Health.

Ritz has been involved in growing MercyOne over the last eight years, according to the release, leading MercyOne to become a comprehensive system of health services providing more than four million patient visits per year with 22,000 colleagues and several thousand physicians.
