An Alaska high school football player had an extra reason to celebrate his senior night win last week.
Chandler Coman, a senior lineman at Palmer High School, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Layla Buzzard, after Friday’s game.
Surrounded by friends, family and teammates, Coman dropped to a knee in the endzone.
“These last three years have been absolutely wonderful. I’ve loved every second of it,” Coman said to Buzzard with a ring box in his hands. “I would like to continue that journey with you. Will you marry me?”
An overjoyed Buzzard said yes, and the couple embraced in front of enthusiastic onlookers, some of whom had been in on Coman’s proposal plans for a while.
