Colorado’s entire Congressional delegation sent a letter to President Donald Trump on Monday, urging him to declare a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration after the state’s worst wildfire season since 2020.

The letter, in support of Gov. Jared Polis’ request of Trump, was co-signed by Democratic U.S. Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper; Republican U.S. House Representatives Jeff Hurd, Lauren Boebert, Jeff Crank and Gabe Evans; and Democratic U.S. House Representatives Jason Crow, Diana DeGette, Joe Neguse, and Brittany Pettersen.

The letter sent to Trump — which begins with “Dear Mr. President,” — reads as follows:

“We strongly support Governor Jared Polis’s request on September 26, 2025 for a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration and Public Assistance for Rio Blanco Coun
