NAMPA, Idaho — A Nampa man was arrested in Raton, New Mexico this week after evading law enforcement for multiple months, according to the Nampa Police Department .
Police said Anthony Dominic Cordova was wanted by authorities for aggravated battery, use of a firearm or deadly weapon and attempted strangulation. Those charges are felonies.
The 46-year-old was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team and the Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force. The Colfax County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest.
"This successful operation highlights the strong partnership between federal and local law enforcement agencies in ensuring public safety and bringing fugitives to justice," the Colfax County Sheriff's Office said in a news release .
