During the halftime show of the Alabama State vs. Florida A&M football game at Bragg Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 27, longtime Marching 100 band announcer Joe Bullard made an insensitive remark regarding the ASU Honey Beez following their halftime performance.
The ASU Honey Beez are a well-known plus-sized dance team that performs with ASU's Mighty Marching Hornets and as the performers were leaving the field, Bullard called them "the new face of Ozempic," in reference to a prescription medicine used to manage type-2 diabetes and sold for weight-loss purposes.
