With Canelo Alvarez sidelined, Turki Alalshikh is eyeing two new headliners for February's Riyadh Season card.
The chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority had planned to match Canelo against Britain's Hamzah Sheeraz in the first Saudi card of the new year.
However, an injury to the Mexican's elbow, which will require surgery, has delayed his return to the ring until mid-to-late 2026.
As a result, Alalshikh is now looking into alternative options, with David Benavidez and Devin Haney said to be the favourites to co-headline the event.
Their position on the card is dependent on both men winning their upcoming fights on November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
