The police said officers conducted a traffic stop on a white BMW for suspicion of DUI near the 500 block of Riverside Avenue. When the officer went up to the driver to ask for his identification, the driver took off.

Roseville police were involved in a vehicle pursuit, but it was canceled due to high speeds and traffic on I-80, police said. After investigating the incident, officers believe the driver to be Sean Matthews, 39, of Roseville.
