NEW ORLEANS — Two people have been arrested in connection with NOPD Chief Deputy Superintendent Hans Ganthier announced Tuesday.
Police said one of the suspects, Mekhi Jarius Andry, is facing murder and attempted murder charges. The other suspect, Dontrell Bradley, will also be booked into the Orleans Justice Center on out-of-state probation violations and a local warrant related to this incident.
Police say officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Bourbon Street around 2:22 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found three people had been shot. One of the victims, was pronounced dead at the scene.
