An Alaska man who was indicted in 2023 after new evidence was discovered in a 2006 Longmont murder case has had his trial delayed to December.

John Angerer, 56, was charged with one count of second-degree murder after police say he killed 38-year-old Angela Wilds and left her body in South St. Vrain Canyon. As of Monday, before the trial was delayed, Angerer’s trial was set for Oct. 13.

Angerer’s trial is now set for Dec. 5 and is expected to last 13 days, according to a court order.
