DETROIT – Nate Danielson was having a strong training camp and preseason for the Detroit Red Wings, so much so that coach Todd McLellan said the young center might have made the season-opening roster if he hadn’t been injured over the weekend.

The good news is that Danielson skated Tuesday, though there still is no timeframe on how long he’ll be out due to the undisclosed injury.
