ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A 12-year-old girl from Douglasville who was critically injured by a fallen tree limb earlier this month is expected to make a full recovery.

Claudia Bacon will be discharged from Scottish Rite Hospital in Sandy Springs this week, a family friend told Atlanta News First.

Doctors expect her to make a full recovery, though loved ones say she still has a long journey ahead.

Claudia will go to physical therapy every day for a few weeks, and eventually every other day.
