Chase DeLauter was slated to head to next week’s Opening Day in the Arizona Fall League. As it turns out, he has another destination in mind first.

The Guardians added MLB Pipeline’s No. 54 overall prospect to their Wild Card Series roster Tuesday for their best-of-3 matchup with the Tigers. If DeLauter appears for Cleveland at any point, he’ll become just the sixth player to make his MLB debut in the postseason and the first since Ryan Weathers with the Padres on Oct. 6, 2020.
