If the federal government shuts down at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday — barring a late-hour deal between Democrats and Republicans — the Blue Angels air show probably won’t be taking to the skies for San Francisco Fleet Week.

Either way, the Royal Canadian Air Force will dispatch an aerobatics squadron, the Snowbirds, for the air show.
