BOSTON — Josh Minott hasn’t been with the Celtics for long, but he’s already made some first impressions. That starts at the top with C’s coach Joe Mazzulla , who Minott said is “inspiring,” but also “a little bit of a weirdo.” Not exactly a surprise there, based off Mazzulla’s track record over the past few seasons.

Minott joined the Celtics this summer after spending the first three seasons of his career with the Timberwolves. The C’s signed him early in free agency to a two-year deal, which includes a player option for next season. While Minott couldn’t carve out a consistent role in Minnesota, he has a real opportunity to do so in Boston — and that’s not lost him.
