KFC's UK profits surged to nearly £100m in its most recent financial year, according to newly-released figures.

The fast food chain reported pre-tax profits of £97.6m for 2024, a significant jump from the £59.1m achieved in 2023.

Nevertheless, new filings with Companies House reveal that staff numbers dropped from 2,690 to 2,518, whilst turnover also declined from £294.5m to £280.2m.

KFC attributed the revenue decrease to a "combination of reduction in store sales due to trading conditions combined with franchise advertising rights in Germany being transferred to another group entity in 2023".
