The second Joe Flacco era has come to an end, at least for now, for the Cleveland Browns prior to their Week 5 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings from London, England. Flacco’s first stint with the Browns ended up with an NFL playoff appearance and the Comeback Player of the Year Award. After a year away, Cleveland signed Flacco this offseason to give the team a veteran option at the most important position on the field.
In four games, Flacco completed just 58% of his passes for 815 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions.
Rumors started on Tuesday Dillon Gabriel would be taking over as the team’s starter. Wednesday morning, prior to the team’s practice and flight to London, HC Kevin Stefanski reportedly informed the team of the change to Gabriel:
